Monday 24 November 2025
1pm - 2pm
SAL B.01
Join Grace Meadows, Head of Music Minds Matter, and MaJiKer, Songwriter, Producer, and Coach, for a conversation exploring the psychological demands of the music industry and why compassion and care are so important to sustain a thriving creative ecosystem.
As artists themselves, Grace and MaJiKer bring both personal and professional insight into how a deeper understanding of mental health can help navigate the challenges of creative work, from sleepless nights and perfectionism to blurred boundaries and constant pressure. Together, they will reflect on how the music industry can cultivate a culture that supports wellbeing, creativity, and sustainability, inspiring all of us to embed these values in our own professional paths.
Grace Meadows leads Music Minds Matter, a pioneering charity placing mental health and wellbeing at the heart of the music industry. A contrabassoon and bassoon player who performs regularly with orchestras across London, Grace brings both artistic and scientific-therapeutic insight. A former music therapist, she previously directed the Music for Dementia campaign and co-authored the landmark Power of Music report with UK Music, uniting leaders across health, care, and the arts to champion the transformative impact of music.
MaJiKer is a platinum-selling songwriter, producer, and artist whose international career includes collaborations across Europe and multiple awards, including three French Grammys and the European Album of the Year. Now based in London, he continues to support both emerging and established talent, developing his own musical projects and creating bespoke work for specific briefs.
