On the evening of 31 March students, staff, and LSESU officers gathered in the Cheng Kin Ku Building for the Winter Term Town Hall.
These termly events are open to all LSE students and offer them a chance to hear what their Select Committee of elected representatives (both sabbatical officers and part-time officers) have been working on, as well as to ask questions, debate policy, and shape the way their union runs.
The event opened with a presentation on the LSESU Transformation Project, given by Esther Munroe, CEO of LSESU, and Antony Blackshaw, the union’s newly appointed transformation director. This was followed by an update from the Democracy Committee.
The Winter Term Executive Report was presented by the Executive Committee and—in keeping with the recommendations of the Accountability Board—it followed a new structure which focused on impact and was themed around the following areas of work: Education, Student Experience, Cost of Living, and Divestment.

The Winter Term 2026 Executive Report was voted through.
An important, and less commonplace, aspect of last night’s event was the re-submission of the Autumn Term 2025 Executive Report, which had been updated and revised, having not being voted through at the previous town hall. This revised report was also voted through.
Thanks to all of those who attended and voted.
