Amnesty International

Introduction

LSESU Amnesty International Society is one of the largest campaigning groups at LSE and is part of a network of over one hundred Amnesty student groups standing up for human rights in universities across the UK. As a movement of ordinary students from all walks of life, our purpose is linked to Amnesty's mission of protecting individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied. The Society's aims are threefold: to campaign, to raise awareness, and to fundraise for the protection of human rights. We change our campaigns year on year depending on the issues that are important to our members, ensuring that everyone can get involved.

The Society's Journal, the Justitia Omnibus has now made it into its fourth year. The Journal's focus this year is on Gender Issues and we welcome all contributions in the form of articles, poems, or artwork that help keep this tradition going and make the Omnibus a mainstay of our campaigning agenda.
