Sports and Societies

Interested in the Liberal Democrats? Have a policy you want to bring before MPs? Want to meet people with similar views to you? The Liberal Democrat society is for you!

As a branch for the Young Liberals, the youth wing of the Liberal Democrats, we have links to young people and students throughout London and the UK! This means social and political events, giving you the opportunity to meet up with like-minded people in great venues near to you (all for the great price of £2.50)

Social Events: Casual link-ups with other Young Liberals is the staple of our community. We plan to host events throughout London and in the LSE – a chance to blow off steam after a long week, grow your social circles to include (potential) future MPs and PMs, or explore London’s various exclusive venues (for instance, the prestigious National Liberal Club).

Political Events: As the youth wing of the Liberal Democrats, we campaign our MPs to bring youth-centred policies before government. At the moment, our major campaigns include legalising cannabis, defending trans rights, fighting against spiking and rejoining Erasmus. If you want to support these campaigns, or start one of your own, and see it potentially be debated in Parliament, this is the place for you. Don’t worry! We have dedicated policy officers and a policy committee to support you every step of the way.

Feel free to drop us an email at Libdemsoc@lsesu.org, and be sure to follow our Twitter, @LSESULiberalD for updates on everything we do! See you soon!
