Commuter Sport at LSE is all about creating accessible opportunities for students who travel into campus. In partnership with the Commuter Student Society, LSESU develops tailored initiatives to help commuter students stay active, connect with peers, and feel part of the wider LSE community. With flexible events and ongoing projects shaped by student feedback, our aim is to make sport welcoming, inclusive, and relevant to the commuter student experience.
LSESU is committed to enhancing the sport and physical activity experience for commuter students, in collaboration with the Commuter Student Society. Our ongoing project aims to better understand and define what it means to be a commuter student at LSE. By working with the institution, we help students identify themselves and their unique needs, laying the foundation for consultations and the development of initiatives tailored specifically to commuter students.
In the past, we have provided dedicated sporting opportunities for the Commuter Student Society, and we have more exciting projects planned for the future. These initiatives are designed to make it easier for commuter students to engage in sport, connect with peers, and feel part of the wider LSE community.
Keep up to date with upcoming opportunities and events by following the Commuter Student Society Instagram page and visiting this webpage regularly.
If you would like to get involved or collaborate with the Students’ Union on these developments, please contact Dan Smith (Physical Activity and Wellbeing Coordinator) at d.smith15@lse.ac.uk.
