TITLE: Student Trustee
Voluntary role | Approx. 4 hours per month | 2-year term | Open to all current LSE students
Are you passionate about improving the student experience at LSE and shaping the future of your Students’ Union? We are looking for motivated, forward-thinking LSE students to join the LSESU Trustee Board as a Student Trustee.
This is an exciting moment to get involved. LSESU is undergoing a period of significant organisational transformation, and we want students who are enthusiastic about change, ready to challenge the status quo, and eager to contribute innovative ideas to help shape our future.
As a Student Trustee, you will:
· Help set the vision, values, and long-term strategy of LSESU.
· Ensure the Union remains student-led, focused on improving the experience and wellbeing of all LSE students.
· Safeguard the organisation by upholding its charity responsibilities, complying with legislation, and protecting its financial stability and reputation.
· Participate fully in Board meetings and sub-committees, contributing constructively to discussions and decisions.
· Work collaboratively with other Trustees and with LSE, maintaining the independence and integrity of the Union.
Who are we looking for?
Our Trustees should be available to dedicate approx. 4 hours per month to their role, including attending all Trustee Board meetings and participating in one sub-committee. Full training and induction are provided to help you be successful in the role.
