About Us
The Music Business Society is one of LSE's newest and most ambitious groups. London is a global creative capital and we connect students with the people and organisastions who shape the entertainment industries, and open the doors to opportunity.
At LSE, many students chase the finance, law, or consulting dream, but overlook that the creative sector can host similar roles in a more soulful environment. This industry relies on the skills LSE students excel in: strategic thinking, adaptability, analytical ability, people skills, global perspectives, and a strong understanding of business and the economy. Our society exists to expose and open pathways into an industry which is dynamic, international, and built to last. Music will always matter, people will always wish to be entertained, and nothing replicates the spark of live performance.

In 2024/25, we hosted over 30 events with leaders from Warner Music, YouTube, Spotify, Ministry of Sound, Rough Trade, Beggars Group, Epic Records, Parlophone, DICE, and SoundCloud.
- 2025/26 Expansion
This year, our line-up will go further, welcoming not only senior executives, but also artists themselves, DJs, band members, producers, managers, CEOs and CFOs of record labels, publishing executives, engineers, agents, promoters, radio pluggers, stylists, creative directors + the entertainment lawyers and finance professionals who underpin the business.

Exclusive, behind-the-scenes visits to leading organisations. In 2024/25, we toured BBC Studios and Platoon Studios for an insider look at how the business operates.
- Career Development Workshops
Hands-on sessions covering internships, CV refinement, employability skills, and open discussions on the full spectrum of professional roles across the creative industries.
- Community & Cultural Events
Event collaborations with LSE societies across music, radio, dance, law, finance, and entrepreneurship, — alongside social collabs such as club nights, pub gatherings, gigs, and film screenings.
