Student Communities

LSESU's societies at the welcome fair

Societies

Societies are the heart and soul of student life at LSE, and becoming a member is the best way to get more out of your time at university.

We have more than 250 societies at LSESU, with thousands of students being members.

From politics to presenting on the radio, there’s bound to be something for everyone! And if you can’t find something you like, just start your own.

Clubs

Clubs are groups of students who share a passion for sport and come together to play friendlies, compete locally and nationally, or participate in socials.

More than 2,300 students currently represent LSE, both nationally and in London, across more than 40 sports and activity clubs, so why not join them!

Give It A Go

'Give it a Go' events are activities laid on by Clubs and Societies all throughout Welcome.

They are organised for the purpose of showcasing what their group is all about, giving new/returning students a chance to meet new people, and see what's on offer before becoming a full member.

Details of each individual event can be found on the social media accounts of the groups you're interested in joining!

Student Democracy

We're led by Student Representatives who ensure that you get the opportunity to make changes at LSE, LSESU and wider society.

You can start your own campaign, submit a Policy Proposal, represent your course as an Academic Rep, or even run to be one of our next leaders!
