About us

Welcome to the Anthropology society page!

We are probably one of the more social societies on campus here to provide a break from dribs and drabs of anthropological academia, offering weekly socials, and a space to converse and socialise with not only fellow members of the Anthro department but also the wider LSE community. We also are keen to provide an engaging space for debate around the discipline, its future and showcase the endless possibilities open to an anthro-grad. If you enjoy films, documentaries, endless chatting about literature and trips to cool places then join Anthro! Throughout the year we organise events ranging from film screenings, pub socials, debates, field trips, to multi-disciplinary panels. If you have any questions or want to get involved in the amazing activities we have lined up, feel free to contact us on our social media pages or by e-mail. We hope to see you soon!

Membership

We have one membership available to the LSE community.

Our membership fee is £2. As a member, you'll have access to all our events, discounts on any trips we plan and be able to meet like-minded, dedicated anthropologists and academics committed to the ongoing conversation about the discipline. Moaning about your assignments and never-ending reading lists is also welcome too :)

Events and Activities

Over the course of the year, we host a range of social events such as pub/bar socials, pizza nights, quiz nights as well as academic events such as panel talks, city trips and film screenings.

Stay tuned for our updates on our social media pages and be sure to like and follow our posts.

Please also join our 2020-2021 offer holders group on Facebook as well ----> https://www.facebook.com/groups/1869933493139445.
