The Literature Society is an upholder of the literary tradition, following in the footsteps of one of LSE’s own founding fathers, George Bernard Shaw. The LSESU Literature Society is responsible for spreading a love of literature across campus. We seek to foster an environment of shared kinship amongst our members. Above all, we believe there is nothing more immensely satisfying than sharing a deep bond with someone who has read the same literature as you.
Amidst banters of economics and politics, the society seeks to promote an interest in literature and writing among the many talented students that go to LSE. We are particularly well known for our Book Club, Writer’s Group, and literary trips!
We welcome students from all backgrounds, regardless of whether or not you have formally studied English Literature, and promise to make you feel right at home and perhaps even bring out that budding writer/poet/actor hidden in you!
