About us

The Economic History Society is an academic society dedicated to building community among students interested in economic history. We run social events, seminars, and career opportunities to help you connect with like-minded peers and explore the field. In the past, we have hosted pub quizzes, documentary screenings with filmmakers, lectures, debates, and professional development events. We also founded the now independent Knowles Review of Economic History, a student-run peer-reviewed journal published by Houghton Street Press, where you can submit your work for professional publication.

Membership

Membership costs £4 and grants you access to all society events, including speaker events, social events, career and networking sessions, and academic panels. These events provide excellent opportunities to meet other members and deepen your understanding of economic history.
