About us

The LSESU FinTech Society is one of the most active societies on campus. Since 2017, we have hosted panel discussions, workshops, competitions, socials and networking events with leading voices in the industry.

We help students explore the intersection of finance and technology, build practical experience and connect with a diverse community. Whether you are interested in finance, technology, investing or entrepreneurship, join us to learn, get involved and meet like-minded students.

Events and Activities

Our 2026/27 programme will include:

• Talks and panels with founders, executives and fintech professionals
• Company visits, workshops and career sessions
• Networking events and university collaborations (including with the University of Oxford)
• Investment training, equity research and competitions
• Student-led fintech research and published reports
• Socials throughout the year

Members can also apply to join one of our five teams:

• Events: Organise events such as speaker sessions, workshops and socials

• Sponsorship: Connect with leading firms and industry professionals
• Research: Explore key fintech topics and publish reports
• Investments: Learn valuation, analyse fintech companies and develop investment ideas

Purchasing an annual membership for just £3.99 will give you access to all of our events throughout the year. These include speaker panel events, workshops, internal and external competitions, networking opportunities, and social events.
