Cut rent, Cut Fees, #TransformLSE
I’m always working for change. Whether that’s leading the LSE Rent Strike, fighting to Reclaim the Streets, or organising Black Lives Matter demonstrations- I’m an active campaigner. As your C&W officer, I plan to create a fighting students’ union. Let’s #TransformLSE (Faraz for Gen Sec, Emerson for Education).
Students first! I’ll...
- Fight for a universal rent reduction in halls
- Improve upon the work of SUAF, increasing student grassroots and trade union involvement
- Ensure 1-2-1 mental health outreach for all, from a mentor accountable to you
- Hold regular town halls and online polls, for a more representative SU
- Set up a renters union in halls
- Work to bring all halls contracts in-house
- Increase LSE financial transparency
Empower the 70%: international students!
- Organise educational events on the Hostile Environment Policy in cooperation with Unis Resist Border Controls
- Ensure that lectures and seminars are all-time-zone friendly
Accessibility & Inclusion
- Remodel the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion report, replacing generalisations with a breakdown of all ethnic groups, sexualities, gender identities, and disabilities
- Mandate implicit bias and compulsory consent training
- Make the LSESU gym more affordable
- Mandate the use of subtitles for all online classes
Student-Staff Solidarity
- Use SU resources to support #Justice4CleanersLSE and #SaveOurNursery
