👉 BOOK A MUSIC PRACTICE ROOM 👈
GENERAL INFORMATION
LSE Students and Staff * who have purchased a Music Society membership will be able to book any of the Music Practice Rooms on campus (all of which contain various musical instruments for both personal and group use) - see locations below:
- Marshall Building (Floor -1)
- Lincoln's Chambers (Basement Floor)
* LSE Alumni and London Film School / NYU Students will only be able to access the Marshall Building rooms due to LSE ID card requirements elsewhere, and won't be able to access Resource Booker for the purpose of booking, either. Instead, these members should either (1) email su.marshall@lse.ac.uk and ask them to book dates/times on their behalf, or (2) visit the reception desk in the Marshall Building (Floor -1) and ask them to book from there.
BOOKING GUIDANCE
* LSE Alumni and London Film School / NYU Students - PLEASE SEE ABOVE!
STEP 1 - Society Membership and Resource Booker
- In order to book and use a Music Practice Room, you will first need to buy a membership to the Music Society.
- Once you've done this, you'll be added to the list of users who can book these spaces on Resource Booker - this is updated every Tuesday.
( NOTE: It may take 1-2 working days for your membership to be synced up on the system, so don't worry if the rooms aren't immediately visible to you. If the issue does persist, please email su.societies@lse.ac.uk. )
👇
STEP 2 - Check Availability and Request Room
- Once you're on Resource Booker, take a look at the spaces available for you to book, and submit your request through the system using your full name in the booking title. You'll receive an automated response to your booking at this stage.
( NOTE: You will only be able to book a single 1-hour slot on any given day, and only on dates up to 14 days in advance. )
👇
STEP 3 - Room Confirmation
- After submitting your request, you should hear back with full confirmation of your booking from the Room Bookings team within 1 working day (Mon-Fri). If for any reason there's an issue, they'll let you know via email in the same way.
👇
STEP 4 - Accessing the Room
- For the Marshall Building, you will be able to access your booked Practice Room by using one of the key fobs that are stored in a locked safety box located on the side of a bookshelf in the lobby area. The password for this box is held by the Music Society, and is changed every month, so please contact them for the one you'll need.
- For Lincoln's Chambers, you will need to scan your LSE ID on the door to the building in order to gain access.
