About us
Join us to take part in any aspect of putting together a show, take part in Drama workshops, or just to get discounted tickets to all our shows, West End productions and regular social events.
Each year, we put on four productions (two plays, one musical and one Shakespeare). We welcome involvement in all parts of the production process, from tech to on-stage work. Don't have time to commit to working on a production? No problem! We regularly organise discounted trips to the West End and London's theatres, so you can have access to top quality performances without breaking the bank ;) Alongside our shows, we hold regular socials, workshops, and have a termly '24-hour Musical' production in collaboration with RAG.
We have some excellent plays and musicals lined up this year (stay tuned on our socials to find out which ones very soon!)
Finally, we are delighted to be a frequent Gold Star society, as well as being the 'Society of the Year' in 2020!
Membership
All memberships cost £4. Purchasing a membership will give you access to all aspects of the society. This includes; discounted tickets to our shows, the opportunity to audition or be involved in the production team of a show, discounted theatre trips to the West End, invitations to end-of-show parties and cast mixers, workshops from Arts professionals, running for a sub-committee position and much, much more.
Events and Activities
In Drama, we offer a huge range of options, depending on what you want to do! Whether participating in productions, attending discounted professional West End productions, participating in workshops, improv sessions, or just socials, there's something here for everyone!
We also do our best to hold socials and cast mixers regularly throughout the year (as often as every week!) In 2022/23 these included Open-Mic nights, a Christmas party, bowling, the Bernard Shaw Awards, and potentially over 100 trips to Shakespeare's Head (the drama Wetherspoons!).
