About the Job:

Are you an LSE student excited by the university and passionate about the student experience? We are currently looking for enthusiastic and confident students to join the LSESU team to support our student-focused events. The LSESU provides a range of activities and events throughout the academic year, from Welcome Week to elections and everything in between. We need people who can help us engage and excite LSE students, encouraging them to take part in Student Union life and helping them feel welcomed into the LSE community.

Dependent on the event, we may need your support in a number of different areas including set-up and pack down, moving furniture, confidently welcoming students and answering questions and providing a high-quality customer experience. We want to provide a really positive experience for Students at our LSESU events and your role will be key in achieving this.

There are a number of already confirmed events throughout the year where we will need your support including:

  • Welcome week:

    • You will work the Welcome fair as a steward and will be a first point of contact for visitors who will be a mixture of new and returning students. You will also undertake other physical duties to support a range of Welcome activities throughout Welcome week (Monday 21st – Friday 23rd September)

    • Welcome fair: 10am – 4pm Tuesday 20th – Thursday 22nd September 2023

  • Election Polling Stations

    • Various shifts throughout both voting weeks in Michaelmas and Lent Term, exact dates TBC

We will have ad hoc opportunities that arise throughout the year where we may need student support and we will reach out to you first before we open the opportunity to other students.
