Women in Research aims to provide a space to discuss the constraints faced by women in research, highlighting the valuable contributions women in research are making, and most importantly, creating an open space for academic development and support for our members, encouraging more women to pursue a career in research.
The constraints women in research face do not only reduce the opportunities available to women, but these structural inequalities also reflect the way knowledge is produced and reproduced. We seek for a more pluralistic production of knowledge.
Therefore, we also aim to address intersectional constraints and invite all persons who are interested in participating in the society. We would like to offer skills workshops, academic panel discussions, career opportunity events and a mentoring programme to empower, inform and inspire our members.
