LSE Lacrosse is one of the largest mixed sports teams in LSE's AU and won LSESU Club of the Year 2020 and the sport itself is one of the fastest growing in the UK. Every week we have two training sessions - stick skills/fitness on Mondays on campus, and training and friendlies on Wednesdays in Regents Park. We complete in LUSL and Sundays are our match days (with our home ground in Berrylands).
We believe that a relationship off the pitch is as important as collaboration on the pitch and we have a consistently high number of social members that make our club as good as it is. That's why we're centred on weekly social events, including team dinners, pub crawls and pre-Zoo events all of which will be optional, but encouraged. (These may look a bit different this year, subject to COVID-19 regulations).
Never played, or even heard of lacrosse before? No problem! Our training sessions will start with the basics and teach you everything you need to know about the sport within the first few weeks .
No kit? The beauty of mixed-gender lacrosse is that the kit is very basic and inexpensive. You will be provided with a stick and training shirt for the season, and will only be required to bring your own boots and a mouth guard.
No time? You are extremely busy as an LSE student—we get it. That is why we are flexible with your commitment to the team. We don't expect you to prioritize the team above more important aspects of your life—such as academics and employment—all we can hope is that you manage your time to the best of your ability!
Full Membership: £50 - to pay for Wednesday training at Regent’s Park, Monday stick skills sessions, social events, a qualified coach, umpires, and all the kit, sticks and match shirts that you enjoy.
Social Membership: £20 - for those who want to join our social events, but will not attend the weekly training sessions.
