Welcome to LSE Hockey Club! We're always on the lookout for new members so whether you've been playing for years or have never picked up a hockey stick before, come along and get involved.
The benefits of playing a team sport to your physical and mental well-being whilst at university are endless and we want to make this opportunity available to all! Weekly training sessions are held on Tuesday evenings at the fantastic Lee Valley Olympic Park under the expertise of international coaches. You can also get involved in our regular fitness sessions held on campus. Having 2 men's and 2 women's teams competing in their respective BUCS leagues means that anyone and everyone can enjoy competitive hockey on a weekly basis. Hard-fought Wednesday BUCS match play led both Men's and Women's teams to cup finals and league victories last season. Last season our Womens XI won their division in BUCS and the Mens XI were runners up! Meanwhile, on Sundays, there is also an opportunity for both sides of the club to come together and get involved in mixed team friendly matches #OneClub. All of this means that we are well-equipped to cater for all abilities, all commitment levels, undergrads and postgrads!
Off the pitch, LSE Hockey Club is just as lively and successful. Wednesday socials often see our Men’s and Women’s sides to come together as one club before heading to Sway Bar for an exciting and chaotic night with other LSE sports clubs. Our diverse social calendar, carefully crafted by our social secs, means that no two weeks look the same! We often head to LSE's student pub 'the Three Tuns' on Friday evenings to unwind and catch up together. Our annual tour is not to be missed either, with last year including us heading to Budapest!
Our Club is a ready-made support system as you settle into life at LSE. From socials, to community outreach, to support with your studies, we’re here to make your university experience the best that it can possibly be!

MEMBERSHIP
Standard Membership (both the new members and returning members one) to the Club will give you access to everything we have to offer. You can get involved in matches, socials and training as much as you like! This fee goes towards, Tuesday training and Wednesday matches at the Olympic Park, professional coaches, umpires, reimbursed transport to and from away games & the subsidisation of kit.
If playing isn't for you, consider purchasing a Social Membership for just £25! LSE Hockey is renowned for its unforgettable social scene, so if you are keen to meet a group of outgoing and friendly people, join our facebook group and come along to a Wednesday night social or find us in Tuns on Friday evening (we will guaranteed be the loudest (and friendliest) bunch in the room).

- International Tour - previously to Lisbon, Madrid, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Athens - next year TBC (hoping to continue the theme of a sunny get away)
- AU-wide events (Carol, AU Ball and Fight Night are not to be missed)
