LSESU’s Red Cross Society and Poetry Society are co-hosting an event from 18:00-19:00 on Poetry Day, March 21st 2023. We will be reading and reflecting upon poetry thematically linked to: the current situation of women in Afghanistan, the Ukraine-Russia conflict and the Rohingya people’s stateless condition. While the first two topics tie in with current appeals of the Red Cross, all three topics foreground the plight of marginalised groups around the world. We intend to constructively engage with the poetry to deepen awareness awareness and sensitization around the issue of marginalisation. Join us on Tuesday 21 March 2023 from 18:00 to 19:00 GMT in the CLM.1.02.
