Did you know that the UK is the only European country that detains refugees and people seeking asylum indefinitely? Join us to learn about how and why the UK detention system is failing refugees and people seeking asylum. Academics, activists, and experts by experience will also share their views regarding possible reforms of this dysfunctional system.

Our insightful panel discussion will feature speakers from Detention Action, Freed Voices, Bail for Immigration Detainees (BID), European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) as well as Dr Sarah Hughes from Northumbria University.

Anyone can attend this event. We expect there to be high attendance, so please reserve a FREE ticket to guarantee entry.

If you are not an LSE student, login as a guest to reserve a ticket. If you have any problems securing a ticket please email star-soc@lsesu.org
