Peru is one of the biggest countries in the Latin American region, crossed by the Andes and known for its diverse cultures, outstanding gastronomy and sightseeing destinations, ancient history, and much more. Peru seeks to become an advanced economy, reduce poverty, work for equality, and advocate for human rights. In that sense, the LSESU Peruvian Society brings together Peruvian students at LSE, as well as students interested in Peruvian socioeconomic, political, and cultural background. Throughout the academic year, the Peruvian Society organizes activities aimed at: • Raising awareness about Peru's socioeconomic and political challenges. • Generating job and research opportunities for Peruvians at LSE. • Promoting the richness of Peruvian culture and gastronomy among LSE students. • Promoting the entry of Peruvians to LSE and facilitating their induction process into academic life and life in London. The LSESU Peruvian Society serves as a platform for bringing together the Peruvian community and connecting its members with opportunities in the United Kingdom. By attracting students, politicians, researchers, and other stakeholders, our goal is to promote the richness of our diversity and foster technical and political discussions, while also maintaining the link with Peru, its constant and complex processes, and expanding the knowledge that is developed at LSE to contribute our country.
