About us

Do you love having new experiences and exploring new places? We do too! Itchy Feet is a society that welcomes anyone - regardless of age, degree or background - who wants to make the most of their time at LSE by travelling. We do the planning, timetabling and budgeting - all you have to do is join us.

In London, we're fortunate to be in close proximity to many interesting destinations, both in the city and beyond, and we feel that it would be a shame not to take advantage of it! In our 10-year history, our trips have ranged from hikes in the UK, short weekends away in romantic European cities, or across-the-world adventure holidays to India and beyond. We also plan socials in and around London for the time-strapped among you, and strive to offer outings that cater to a range of budgets and availabilities.

We're looking to get back to our best this year! With travel restrictions being lifted, we have ambitious plans to get back to trips around London, the UK and abroad.

Membership

Membership gives you full access to ALL our events, socials and subsidised excursions (in London or otherwise) that we organise.

Standard membership price is £3.00 and this membership is valid for the entire year.

Trips with additional components (e.g. plane tickets, accommodation, meals) will be additional expenses - the focus of our society is to plan trips for our community!

Events and Activities

During Welcome Week, we held a Give it a Go trip to Shoreditch, one of London's trendiest and most vibrant areas. You won't need a membership to attend, so come along and get a taste of what we have to offer! Details will be released nearer the time on our Instagram, Facebook and at our Welcome Week stall.

In the first weekend of October, we hosted a day trip to Brighton. Photos can be found on our Instagram!

We went international again for the first time since 2020 during Week 6 of Michaelmas term! We ran a week-long trip to Athens for 15 of us to provide a much-needed break during Reading Week.

During Mid-November, we held weekend break to Edinburgh, and after term ended in December, we went to Prague to get satisfy our Christmas fever!

We are continuing our international travels this term; tickets for Morocco in reading week have already sold out, but we have one more international trip and two more domestic trips in the works for later this term!

Contact Us

The committee is really excited to welcome new members, and is contactable via Instagram and Facebook. We also have a Whatsapp group chat. Come and see us during Welcome Fair on September 21st!
