Welcome to active lifestyle! 

The Active Lifestyle Programme offers a wide range of feel-good activities, classes and drop-ins to help you get active, meet new friends and put a smile on your face! We offer a range of low cost pay-as-you-go classes every week. We know sport isn't for everyone, but embracing an active lifestyle can not only help you feel physically stronger and fitter, it can also improve your mental wellbeing and resilience and is a great way to make new friends.

Class Descriptions

Grace Clarke

Pilates-yoga fusion classes combine the mind-clearing benefits of yoga and the toning power of Pilates. This class is a great workout to build muscle and stamina, and it teaches focus and relaxation. Combining yoga and Pilates is a natural fit because both yoga and Pilates require us to focus on the breath, precise movements, proper alignment and our core muscles as we flow through the workout.  

Jason Reed

SPRINT 8 is a 20-minute high-intensity interval cardio program that is designed to get maximum results in minimum time. You'll start with a three-minute warm-up, followed by 30-second sprints and 90-second active recovery periods. As you near the 20-minute mark, you'll finish with a 2.5-minute cool down.

Body Conditioning is a full body workout involving muscular strength and endurance to help shape and tone your muscles! Body Conditioning combines cardio and resistance work to an energetic beat to work out your whole body.

Our Booty Blaster class is a comprehensive lower body workout that will tone and tighten from your abs to your hips all the way down to your heels. The classes are designed and taught so you will improve and strengthen isolated muscle groups in your butt, legs, hips, lower back, inner and outer thighs

Grace Clarke

Cardio & Core is a 30-minute challenging mix of intense, dynamic core-stabilising exercises and cardiovascular endurance to get the blood flowing and heart rate elevated. Core This class is designed to build core muscle groups while improving posture through performing a variety of exercises that strengthen the abdomen and back muscles.

Circuits is a multi-stationed group exercise class that combines cardiovascular fitness with muscular strength and endurance. A dynamic and challenging workout designed to work on all the basic elements of fitness.

Grace Clarke

Dance Fit (Urban)  is a group exercise class that incorporates some or many forms of dance. It’s an aerobic workout, divided into different tracks that provide peaks and troughs of intensity. The Urban class will have upbeat music such as Hip Hop, Dancehall, Soca and many more genres to get your body shaking! Have fun as you gain fitness!

Begginers Lifting Club A class that teaches you exactly how to lift weights with good technique, how to make regular progress and get excellent results from your gym sessions. You want to learn in a supportive, non-judgmental environment with other people who are weight training beginners, in the same boat as you.

Grace Clarke

Spin combines cardio and endurance in a calorie-crunching session! Not only is it great for giving you all the cardiovascular gains, but it's great at toning muscles to make you super strong.

Zumba is an interval workout. The classes move between high- and low-intensity dance moves designed to get your heart rate up and boost cardio endurance. Core: Yes. Many of the dance steps used in the routines emphasise the hips and midsection to help strengthen the core.

ThisThis class incorporates Yoga postures, gentle movement sequences, breath work, supported silent meditation, and guided relaxation to support increased awareness and mindfulness of the breath and body, and quieting of the nervous system

Jason Reed

Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility.

Dance Fit (Salsa) is a class that incorporates some or many forms of dance. It’s an aerobic workout, divided into different tracks that provide peaks and troughs of intensity. The Salsa class will be fun and energetic!

Iesha Lucci

Dance Fitness Coach with a diverse portfolio of classes. Iesha's focus is home workouts using resistance bands and bodyweight. Specialises in lower body to facilitate stronger legs and glutes.

Alina Ola

Dance teacher,  fitness instructor, contemporary artist, gymnast. Qualified in Advanced Stretching, Street Dance/Hip-Hop, Zumba and HIIT. Alina is a self-motivated and always ready to motivate and support others to achieve goals.

oksana hyryak

LSE alumni turned Yoga Professional. Finding the time to achieve a balanced mind, body and spirit can be a challenge in our fast-paced unpredictable life. Oksana uses the power of yoga and mindfulness to help you find that ‘zone’ both physically and mentally for growth and self-improvement.

STEFANIA-elena dodita

Professional dancer and fitness instructor teaching a wide range of classes, from dance and high intensity workouts, to stretching and body strengthening. With 10+ years of experience as a dancer, Stefania is a highly motivated instructor who has been working with people of all ages to help them find their love for exercise.

Oxana Ershova

Through over 15 years of personal study, Oxana has explored numerous styles of Yoga, along with Pilates and Stretching. In her classes, you can expect an energetic, yet gentle flow blended with mindfulness exercises that are accessible to beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. She loves bringing a lightness to her classes, making them an enjoyable yet learned experience.!

BritT Sears

Currently pursuing her Masters at LSE, Britt is a personal trainer, fitness instructor and studying nutrition coach intentional about inspiring others to live their healthiest lives! Whether it’s teaching fitness classes, creating workouts based on individual needs or offering nutritional advice, Britt aims to help others find balance in all areas of their life, including physically, mentally and economocially.

Mara Heckmann

Dance and fitness instructor, who energises and motivates her participants to get the most out of the class. With a background in gymnastic dance and Taekwondo, she teaches Zumba and High Intensity Workouts, and loves to combine different disciplines and styles in her trainings.
