About the job
With over 250 of them, LSE Students’ Union has one of the largest and best offerings of student Societies (including RAG and the media group) in London, all of which help to shape and positively impact on students’ experience of LSE. In this role, you will support the Societies Department in the administration, organisation, and reporting on of student activities and events, by processing and responding to queries related to the different levels (and high volume) of event forms submitted by Societies throughout the year, thus facilitating a smooth level of service and support.

Founded in 1897, LSE Students' Union is one of the oldest Students' Unions in the UK and is the representative and campaigning body for students at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Like other Students' Unions, it also funds and facilitates student activities on campus, including 200+ societies, 40+ sports clubs through the Athletics Union (AU), the Media Group and Raising and Giving (RAG) charitable fundraising initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a professional individual who has a passion for student experience, activities and events – all within a fast-paced environment. It is important that you have good digital and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service, to ensure that our Society committee members receive the best possible experience from our support.
You must have a keen eye for detail and an organised approach to your work, as you’ll be handling sensitive data/information, and have competing priorities at any one time.
This role is also perfect for anyone who’d like to develop their knowledge of student activities whilst studying at LSE, and if you’re already a committee member for a Society, the experience you build here will help you in that role, too, so please do consider applying!
