About the job
We are currently looking for enthusiastic students to join our student staff team in the LSESU Bars and Event Team. The LSESU Bars and Event Team provides excellent service of food and drink within the Saw Swee Hock building, including The Three Tuns Bar, the Venue, and a variety of event spaces. Our team serves LSE students, staff & alumni, as well as a wide variety of external clients.
You will support the day to day operations of the LSESU Bars (Tuns and Venue), ensuring that the bars are run in accordance with our policies and procedures, as well as Health and Safety standards. During opening hours, you will provide high quality customer service and maintain a strong working knowledge of our products and offerings.
Outside of the bars, you will be responsible for food and drink service and event support as needed. Being the face of our Team, you will be expected to deliver positive and professional interactions with our customers and guests, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for confident, approachable students who enjoy providing a high level of customer service and have a passion for entertainment and social activities. You will need good communication skills with the confidence to actively engage with customers, strong multi-tasking and organisational skills, and an ability to improvise and adapt on the fly. Attention to detail is a must, as is the willingness to work occasional late hours and odd shifts. Previous bar and/or event experience will be great to have, but not necessary to fill the role.

This post is only open to current LSE students, including those with a confirmed place starting in September
