ZEUS PATEL

Every voice matters.

As my academic career has revolved around the LSE for both my undergraduate degree (BSc Politics and Philosophy), which I completed in 2016, and for my part-time postgraduate degree (MSc Human Resources and Organisations)–the LSESU is an institution that is close to my heart.

The Trustee-Board would benefit from having my perspectives as an international student from a BAME background, as someone who has completed an undergraduate degree from, and is currently studying a postgraduate degree at the LSE, as a part-time student, and as someone with a lot of transferable skills from my 6.5 years of work-experience at an Investment Bank.

In terms of my vision for the LSESU over the next three years, my hope would be that as a result of the value I can bring during my tenure as a member of the Trustee-Board, the LSESU remains able to support the incredible body of students that the LSE attracts every year. Furthermore, I will use my skills and knowledge to tackle any ongoing issues the Union might be facing so as to safeguard the LSESU such that it can continue to provide its vital services to the wider student body in as efficient and sustainable manner as possible.
