Together Towards LSE 2.0 #NoPressure_Vote#1forEsha

Hiii fellow students!!! Esha here!! I’m currently pursuing an MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology, after previously completing an MSc in Applied Psychology at the University of Calcutta.

I want to leverage my previous experience as a Student Council member and as an LSE student like you all to work as your Education Officer. The 4 pillars of my campaign are:

INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY BUILDING

• Introduce compulsory Ethnic and Gender sensitisation courses for students and staff

• Campaign to cease usage of non-inclusive, outdated terminology - eg BAME

AUGMENTED EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Hold monthly study groups of Ethnic Minority students #CloseTheAttainmentGap

• Enhance support to international, mature, working, neurodiverse and disabled students

• Lobby for increased scholarships, teaching hours, Summative support and more detailed feedback

• Promote interdisciplinary connections – through interdepartmental electives and socials

CAREER SUPPORT

• Publicise and improve access to summer internships

• Organise a walk-in placement fair in the CBG Square during LT

HEALTH AND WELFARE

• Improve and publicise mental health services and Peer Supporter scheme

• Lobby for faster registration and appointments at St.Philips

Subsidised food and stationery at university
