I am a woman and I will fight for you.
Being a woman belonging to the first generation to pursue higher studies from my village in Bihar, India, exposed me to the policy paralysis that failed to uplift the deprived sections of society. This exposure convinced me to become a voice for advocacy towards bringing change. It is incredible to see women walk through the campus doors from diverse parts of the world. I want to make this campus safe for you and your voices - you will be heard. I would organise self-defence training sessions. I would place an anonymous ballet on the reception of all LSE buildings for individuals to register complaints related to sexual harassment and ensure that the matter is taken up by the authorities. I pledge to install sanitary dispensaries in one washroom of every LSE building - mensural needs are a human rights concern. Ultimately, less talking, let's vote - I have a lot to do for you.
