“L”isten, “S”upport, “E”ngage: Giving You the PG Experience You Want
I am excited to run for the Postgraduate Taught Students’ (PG) Officer position and my candidacy stands out due to my prior experiences, emphasis on engagement, and commitment to student wellbeing.
Being a Faculty Representative and Course Representative during my undergraduate studies enriched my understanding of student representation and advocacy. Collaborating with other representatives, I successfully campaigned for improved mental health support, maintaining social connections during COVID-19, and course structure changes, demonstrating my ability to generate positive changes within academic institutions.
My primary objective as PG Officer is to bridge the gap between students, the SU, and the university, ensuring transparent and prompt responses to student feedback at all levels. Thus, PGs would feel more involved in the process of actively driving and benefiting from meaningful changes, developing a sense of belonging despite having shorter academic journeys. Committed to LSE's Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework, I aim to foster a supportive and inclusive environment through university-wide campaigns and transform the prevailing culture of hesitancy around seeking help.
I aspire to help every PG student make the most of their LSE experience. I always welcome suggestions so please feel free to reach out at K.Sze1@lse.ac.uk. Thank you for your support!
