For a transformative new journey, Brianstorm and vote Brian #1

EXPERIENCE:

My leadership journey advanced at 23 when I vied for Member of Parliament in last year’s elections in Nairobi, Kenya as an independent candidate and garnered 13,786 votes. (The first and third president of Kenya studied at LSE and hopefully the eighth!). Currently I am part the board of a public hospital in Nairobi. These experiences have equipped me to be your Postgraduate Taught Officer.

POLICIES:

Edu-Socials: LSE is part of the Golden Triangle (Oxford, Cambridge and LSE). Postgraduate interdepartmental networking with other universities will be beneficial. Oxford and Cambridge have interdepartmental exchanges ongoing.

Off-campus networking events: LSE should identify and facilitate students on ongoing off-campus networking events as opportunities are far and wide in London.

Addressing Information Disparity: Struggling with the multitude of dispersed resources? Advocate to merge platforms e.g., LFY, Moodle into a single, user-friendly portal to simplify access to crucial materials.

Inclusive socio-economic experience: Introduce events for postgraduate students living in the same neighbourhoods in London e.g., Islington, Bloomsbury, Stratford etc. Moreover, more ongoing postgraduate events and cultural events.

Equity for all: Better working conditions for GTA’s will lead to better teaching for us. Equally, petition against education cuts and government policies which affect students hardest.
