Hi! I'm Jakub, a returning GTA and 3rd year PhD student at the Law School.

I am running to be your GTA officer, in order to fight for better working conditions for all part-time teachers at LSE.

Why me?

• I have taught environmental law on the LLB and LLM level for the Law School;

• I have advocated for PhD students in the Law School and pushed for changes in the part-time contract process;

• I am involved in organising at the level of the UCU, PhD Action Network, and Law School.

What are my aims?

• Race to the top: harmonisation of GTA conditions across all LSE departments including but not limited to pay, remunerated preparation hours, health insurance;

• Collective organising: improve collective organising channels among GTAs across departments in order to facilitate information-sharing and coordination of our common strategy;

• Outreach: try to reach out to all GTAs at LSE and introduce them to the actions of the UCU, the SU, and the PhD Action Network, giving them the tools and knowledge to get involved and benefit from collective organising.
