As someone who’s new to LSE and England as a whole, I’m incredibly conscious of the difficulties that come with adjusting to a new country, campus, and culture. I’m hoping to support you all as peers (and friends!) more formally as a student liaison. I led in student council (both in school and university) as well as on the DEI board in my previous work position and understand what it takes to listen to the issues people are facing, escalate when needed, and work with the university leadership to find solutions that not only make everyone feel heard, but provide legitimate change. I've seen many people get exhausted and frustrated with the tedious nature of working with large faculty boards, but I'm a marathon runner- I don't believe in quitting!
