Within its ethics code, the LSE committed itself to advancing equality of respect and opportunity by treating all people with equal dignity and respect. Growing up in a traditional German community, where many of my classmates did not receive this kind of respect and support entailed in the previously quoted standard, I learned to appreciate equality of opportunity, particularly in education. Consequently, I developed a passion for educational equality and volunteered to take responsibility for others in various positions throughout the past years. I want to continue this effort by becoming the postgraduate research officer.
Within this role, I plan to assist all of you equally in pursuing your individual goals by listening to your needs and standing up for your interests. Having served as the academic representative for the MSc in Economics and currently being the SU nominated member of the LSE Council, I am well-versed with LSE’s rules and regulations. Hence, I feel equipped to leverage my experience in this position.
