Hiya! I'm Ishrat, hoping to be YOUR Class Liberation Officer for 2025/26!❗

Being a first-generation student from an under-performing state school in "Murder Mile" (Hackney), I've firsthand encountered the challenges of being from a low socio-economic background. These experiences have given me the determination to fight for change, ensuring that disadvantaged students at LSE get the support they deserve.

⭐ My Main Aims: β

  • Launching the ‘Social Mobility Diaries’

    • With SU support, I will launch a podcast featuring guest speakers and students sharing their experiences navigating university, advancing their career, and overcoming personal struggles—helping to instill hope in others.

  • To provide more £ Assistance + extend the guarantor scheme to include home students

    • I will advocate for more aid to help low-income students with travel, attend more LSE events & find a good living space!
  • Strengthening Social Mobility Networks

    • I aim to continue the most anticipated Social Mobility Summit in collaboration with the 93% Club!

  • Pushing for Divestment and increased Advocacy.

    • I will continue pushing for divestment for Palestine, and work to raise awareness about causes that have been underreported, such as those in Congo and Sudan.

& much more!
