KAYODE ADENIYI

Building Systems, Empowering Voices.

LSE’s democratic structures are solid, but even the best systems benefit from fresh energy, new perspectives, and continuous refinement. That’s why I’m running for the Democracy Committee, not to overhaul what works, but to enhance it. To make engagement more intuitive, decision-making more transparent, and representation more reflective of the diverse student body.

Good governance is like good architecture: it isn’t just about standing strong but about evolving with the needs of the people it serves. I’ve spent years working in student leadership, most recently as Co-President of the Programme for African Leadership (PfAL) at the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa, The London School of Economics and Political Science, where I help guide some of the most promising young minds in leadership and governance. Before that, I served as General Secretary for 44,819 undergraduate students, driving initiatives that brought real change.

What I Want to Bring to LSESU’s Democracy Committee:

Governance that students actually engage with – A system where participation is easy, not exhausting.
A broader platform for student voices – More representation, fewer overlooked perspectives.
Smarter, fairer decision-making – Policies built on clarity and inclusivity.

Let’s keep LSESU moving forward. Vote for me.
