Chidi sees it, Chidi says it, Chidi sorts it!

Hi, my name is Chidinma Onyebu.

I am running to be your Education Officer. As a General Course student, I have experienced the US and UK education systems, giving me a unique perspective on the academic experience at LSE.

Being General Course President, I have worked on key initiatives addressing departmental disparities, the racial attainment gap, and career support

I want to continue these efforts by SEEING your challenges, SAYING what needs to change, and SORTING issues to enhance your academic experience!

SEEING (Identifying the Issues)

  1. Addressing inconsistencies across departments and standardizing expectations across departments.
  2. Lobbying to reinstate the PhD pipeline for Black 2nd-year undergraduates to increase full-time Black professors.
  3. Pushing for a more inclusive curriculum by diversifying reading lists.

SAYING (Advocating for Change)

  1. Ensuring professors with relevant lived experiences teach sensitive topics like race and religion.
  2. Enforcing an opt-in policy for inclusivity training and accountability of professors.
  3. Demanding better resources and accountability for neurodiverse students.

SORTING (Implementing Solutions)

  1. Expanding initiatives to close the racial attainment gap
  2. Lobby for extensions for summative assessments for working students.
  3. Create more part-time job opportunities to support students in balancing work and academics.

Chidi sees it, Chidi says it, Chidi sorts it!
