I am Syaiful Iylia, and am running for Athletics Union Executive. Having extensive experience in my highschool student council, I believe that I am a suitable candidate for this role, and am committed to representing the student population to take LSE’s athletic scene to greater heights. One of my main campaign goals is to allow for the continued smooth running of AU activities despite the current Coronavirus crisis. If elected, I vow to improve the welfare of the various sports societies. This will be achieved through various fund-raising initiatives and open conversations with the school, so that our athletics societies will continue to have access to facilities that we deserve, and allow us to continue training effectively. I also pledge to organise large-scale inter-societal events to improve AU culture, and foster an atmosphere of healthy competition and teamwork, so that the flag of LSE’s AU will fly high and proud.
