View Manifesto

Candidate for the position of Postgraduate Students' Officer

OSCAR ENRIQUE ENCINAS MADRID

Drive and spire change to improve the lives of others.

I wholeheartedly embrace a servant leadership philosophy in my efforts to strengthen the capabilities, morale and resolve of those surrounding me. My cornerstone for this philosophy is honouring the virtue of truthfulness, without which leaders erode their potential and sabotage success. Said notions set the foundation which enable me to be a leader who defines a vision, catalyzes action and manages an effective implementation.  By being elected, I  I will establish strong interpersonal relations with the postgradute community and listen to everyone that share similar and different beliefs. Those interactions are the base for a network that is useful in identifying opportunities and catalyzing action.

Finally, joining the LSE family as a Postgradute Students' Officer, would provide me with the opportunity to further develop my empathy, acumen and determination, and with this represent the interests of my fellow students. Moreover, if elected, I will exploit my unwavering vocation of service to the LSE community by taking advantage of its platform to acquire the skills and traits that are yet to be enhanced and put them into action for the common good. All of this with the ultimate goal of every leader: to drive change to improve the lives of others and inspire those who pursue the same aspiration.
