Vote for clarity, opportunity, and support throughout your postgraduate degree.

Hi everyone,

WHO + WHY

I'm Swathy, an MSc Media and Communication Governance student at LSE, and I'd love to be your Postgraduate Students’ Officer this year!

I did my undergraduate degree in law and psychology (think: negotiation skills to get RESULTS) and I want to support you in having a great year at LSE, despite all the uncertainty.

WHAT

After speaking to many of you over the past few weeks, this is what I’ve found to be of concern to most of you this year:

1. Printing on and off campus

2. Students currently abroad not getting the full LSE experience on-campus

3. Diminished career and employment access opportunities this year

4. What’s happening with the post-study work visa for international students

HOW

Here's how I plan to tackle these concerns:

1. Devise and negotiate a sustainable and student-friendly printing strategy!

2. Organise LSESU events for postgraduates arriving throughout the year!

3. Arrange cross-faculty schemes for students to gain transferable skills and increased career support for the current job market!

4. Provide you with up-to-date information and arrange support regarding the post-study work visa!
