If you want democracy, vote for Cece!

Who Am I?

My name is Cece Briscoe. I’m a first year Social Anthropology student and I’m running for a position on the democracy committee.

Why am I good for this position?

I believe that I am best suited for this position because I love working in a team and I am motivated to ensure fairness in elections for all students.

  • I was involved in this year’s HSF mooting competition. I like to look at both sides of a situation, making a fair judgement

  • I officiated at the Oxford Debating Competition, as a team member and a trainer for student participants

  • I am involved in four societies, two of which are the UN Society and the Law Society, the former being heavily centered on the importance of democracy and fairness.

  • I worked on a committee for the avoidance of redundancies in a key retail business

What will I do?

If elected, I will aim to do the following

  • Increase awareness of elections to the wider student body, Union General Meetings and other democratic structures

  • Ensure that all dates, rules and regulations regarding elections are agreed and timely

  • Review motions for Union General Meetings ensuring that they serve your best interests.
