Who Am I?
My name is Cece Briscoe. I’m a first year Social Anthropology student and I’m running for a position on the democracy committee.
Why am I good for this position?
I believe that I am best suited for this position because I love working in a team and I am motivated to ensure fairness in elections for all students.

I was involved in this year’s HSF mooting competition. I like to look at both sides of a situation, making a fair judgement

I officiated at the Oxford Debating Competition, as a team member and a trainer for student participants

I am involved in four societies, two of which are the UN Society and the Law Society, the former being heavily centered on the importance of democracy and fairness.

I worked on a committee for the avoidance of redundancies in a key retail business
What will I do?
If elected, I will aim to do the following

Increase awareness of elections to the wider student body, Union General Meetings and other democratic structures

Ensure that all dates, rules and regulations regarding elections are agreed and timely

Review motions for Union General Meetings ensuring that they serve your best interests.
