Students for Living Sustainably and Ethically (LSE)
Hi everyone!
About me:
I’m a first year Anthropology and Law student and am passionate about being sustainable and environmentally conscious. I have a plethora of goals and initiatives, that if elected, would help propel LSE to becoming more environmentally and ethically responsible.
My Annual Objectives:
Sustainability:
- I will aim that LSE will become more sustainable by making small everyday changes, for example: ensuring that the cleaning products used are good for the environment
Ethics:
- Although LSE has made great strides in ensuring that their investments are ethical, I aim that LSE will become 100% ethical with regards to investments
- LSE has committed to making ethical decisions when it comes to food sourcing and Fairtrade, I hope to maintain these levels and to push further in areas that we are lacking
Net-Carbon zero emissions:
- My main challenge, if I were to be elected, would be to convince LSE to accelerate their net-zero carbon emissions goal from 2050 to a closer date
Communal responsibility:
- I seek to introduce a community initiative to help the wider community, this could include promoting sustainability and helping the community become greener
