Green Finance Networking Lunch

Come join us over lunch to hear from Green Finance intiatives about how you can pursue an environmentally responsible career in finance. We have representatives from the asset management and brokerage fields ranging from start ups to well established funds. An inspiring lunch bridging sustainability and finance awaits you!

The event will consist of short company presentations, followed by a panel discussion and open Q&A, and finally a free lunch and networking session.

Our esteemed speaker line-up:

Robert Mansley from Macquarie's Green Investment Group. The Green Investment Group (GIG) targets investments in green infrastructure projects, providing financial services and products, M&A and debt advisory, green bank advisory, amongst many others. They have led over £15 billion of investment into green infrastructure and are invested in 60% of the UK’s offshore wind generation capacity. Rob is responsible for providing corporate finance advisory services in the renewable energy sector. He is an industry veterant with an impressive CV; before joining GIG, he was Managing Director and Head of European Renewables at Morgan Stanley, having previously worked at Credit Suisse and HSBC.

Miika Korja from Affirmative Investment Management (AIM). AIM is a fund which focuses solely on Fixed Income and Cash investments which generate positive environmental and social externalities, combining mainstream portfolio management and sustainability, without compromising either. Miika is an LSE Alumnus and supports the sustainability team’s research and sustainability verification analysis. He has a strong passion for climate science, economics and policy, and has volunteered in sustainability in Bolivia prior to joining AIM.

Stéphan Vuylsteke from Arabesque. Arabesque has pioneered a new approach to asset management by integrating ESG big data with quantitative investment strategies; an approach based on evidence showing that responsibility and profitability are wholly complimentary. Stéphan is currently working as a Director in the Product Office and had been heavily involved in the portfolio management side of the ESG Research & Advisory department, focused on product development, improving the Arabesque Sustainability Process (now Arabesque S-Ray®).

Libby Stanley from WHEB Group. WHEB is a positive impact investor focused on the opportunities created by the transition to a low carbon and sustainable global economy, focusing on a single global equity strategy developed over the long-term tested across market cycles. Libby is responsible for growing and managing WHEB’s coverage and relationships across their range of clients, with particular focus on wealth managers, IFAs, platforms and wholesale markets in the UK. Like the rest of WHEB, she is a strong advocate of ESG and sustainable investing.
