Dr Thérèse Coffey, MP for Suffolk Coastal, shall be visiting LSE for a Q&A session, following her work with Mary Macleod MP on the Conservative Women’s Forum Report “Executive Women in the Workplace Inquiry: Building the Executive Pipeline of Talent”. This paper looks at the lack of gender diversity across FTSE100 companies, and suggests ways to increase the number of women on boards and in senior executive roles. Dr Coffey is currently a Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Business and Energy, Michael Fallon MP, having previously worked as Finance Director for Mars Drinks UK and Property Finance Manager for the BBC. Dr Coffey studied at Somerville College, Oxford, before progressing to UCL where she earned a PhD in Chemistry. This event is part of LSESU Gender Equality Awareness Month.
