The LSE Forum, hosted by the Hong Kong Public Affairs and Social Service Society (HKPASS), is the annual flagship event and has been the most prestigious university debating competition conducted in Cantonese amongst Hong Kong students since 2007.

As our 12th consecutive year hosting the event and stepping into the 22nd year of Hong Kong’s handover, important questions have been raised in the social, ethical, economic and political aspects on both a local and global scale. The LSE Forum provides a platform for open and constructive critical thinking around some of the latest and most controversial affairs. The motions chosen by the LSE Forum 2019 Organising Committee are aimed to provoke participants to review and challenge the most topical and controversial affairs.

The LSE Forum allows students from various universities not only to showcase their talents on public speaking and debating, but also for them to socialise and learn from each other. It provides a perfect opportunity for intellectual ideas to be exchanged amongst some of the brightest minds.
