Freedom of Mind LSE: Men

Tuesday 08 October 2019
8pm - 9:30pm
6th Floor Studio, Saw Swee Hock Building

Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45. This is the shocking statistic often used to demonstrate the current crisis in men's mental health. And yet, men continue to be underrepresented in mental health activism.

Freedom of Mind LSE is hosting a discussion on the complicated relationship between masculinity and emotional wellbeing with a majority-male panel. This event aims to leave behind the often fraught debate on masculinity that has dominated political discourse in recent years, and instead explore how society can positively move away from traditional conceptions of gender and remedy the crisis in men's mental health. Join us in the Sixth Floor Studio of the LSESU for an insightful and timely event.
