Ahoy! The Marine Society is swimming into Green Week by presenting a shell-tastic gallery showcasing of their summer expedition in the Scottish Isles. The team collected microplastic samples from the sea and found plastic washed up on beaches in the most rural areas of our coast, displaying just how far we have to go in the fight against plastic pollution. The exhibition will be coming to your shores with a talk from members of the expedition team, and a retrospective on our lives with plastic. The Committee will also be joined by their amazing skipper, activist Oliver Beardon, for a talk on their findings. Sea you there!
The talk will be held in the cafe, and the exhibition can be viewed on the 6th floor cafe of the SU.
