FAQs

Attendance

Attendance at the full conference is compulsory for all 2025/26 core committee members (President, Treasurer and Secretary). Non-core committee members are welcome to attend, and can choose to only attend certain sessions if they wish.

You only need to attend one of the days, as they will both be repeats of each other. However, if you wish to attend clashing sessions, feel free to attend both days!

If you're not available for the full day, that's fine, please just book onto what you're available for.

If you're unable to attend either date, please email su.societies@lse.ac.uk.

Tickets

Tickets are available here. Please ensure you reserve your free tickets to each individual session you wish to attend. Please sign up as soon as possible to ensure you get your first choice of date and sessions! If you cannot attend once you’ve signed up, or wish to swap days, please let us know so we can open up your space to other people who wish to attend.

What to Bring

Please bring your LSE ID card for access to the building. You won't need to bring anything else specific, but feel free to bring something you can take notes with.

What to Wear

Feel free to wear whatever is comfortable! The temperature in the Venue can be variable, so please bring layers. We will have our photographer taking headshots on the 6th Floor over lunch, so if that's something you'd like to take advantage of then you may wish to wear something smart (for your top half at least!).

When and Where to Arrive

Please arrive promptly ready for the start of your sessions. Doors will open at 9:30am onwards, then 10 minutes before the other sessions throughout the day.

It's a packed day, so sessions will need to begin on time!

Unfortunately, if you arrive more than 5 minutes after the planned start of the session, we cannot guarantee entry.

How Long are Sessions?

Sessions are either 30 or 50 minutes, and there will be a 10 - 15 minute break between each session. Please use this time to stretch your legs, have a drink and get your ticket scanned for the next session. Timetables of the day will be displayed around the SU, so you can check where to go next!

Do I need to do anything in preparation?

If you can, it would be great if you could complete the core Moodle Modules before attending the conference. This is not essential, as we know you’re in the midst of assessments and exams, but you may find it beneficial.

Ticket Checks

Please ensure you have your Native tickets downloaded onto your device, or printed out. Your ticket for each session will be scanned before each session begins, as this is how we will track attendance. You'll also have a lanyard waiting for you to collect once you've checked in to your first session - Sports Clubs on the 6th Floor and Societies in the Venue.

Will lunch be provided?

Yes! Free pizza will be provided for all ticket holders on the day.

There will also be teas, coffees and biscuits throughout the morning, and there are water fountains around the building to re-fill bottles.

If you have any access or dietary requirements, please email su.societies@lse.ac.uk to let us know, by 5 days before the conference.

What time will the day end?

The final session of the day is likely to finish around 4:45. The Three Tuns will then be open for the evening, for anyone who wishes to go! Everyone is welcome regardless of whether they've attended the conference, so please tell your friends!

What if I have an issue/ question on the day?

Our friendly SU team will be on hand all day should you have any questions or worries throughout the day. We'll be wearing black polo shirts, so please just come over and say hello! If you would like a quiet space throughout the day, you're more than welcome to use the 1st Floor Cafe, 6th Floor Terrace or Venue Mezzanine.

What if I can no longer attend?

Please let us know asap if you can no longer attend, so that we can offer your space to someone else, as many of our sessions are now sold out.
