LSESU Active LifeStyle is the social and recreational sport programme available to all students at LSE. This is our brand for many different activities, all offering you something social, fun and a bit sporty. You don't need to join a team, have much kit, or pay a lot of money! All our sessions are open to all, whether you have experience or not - or are any good! You can come to one, or many, whatever you feel like.

Be involved in Active LifeStyle helps make the most of your University experience, build skills to enhance your graduate employability and get to know you fellow LSE students. There is an opportunity for everyone across all abilities, so get involved now!

Whether you're looking for something competitive or recreational, something one-off or regular, there are plenty of ways to get involved. Activities take place throughout the academic year, and are based on campus or at venues across central London. Active LifeStyle Class Pass

Active LifeStyle Class Pass is an exciting programme of activities and exercise classes open to all students at LSE. It caters for the absolute beginner, casual gym goers and those who just want get fit and healthy and have fun doing it.

For only £15 a term you get access to attend the following Active LifeStyle sessions:

  • Pilates
  • Yoga
  • Zumba
  • Belly Dancing
  • LED Sabre
  • Self Defense
  • POP Pilates
  • Insanity

You can purchase you membership using the below link or from the ARC. Once you pick up your membership card from the ARC/3rd Floor Reception, just present the card to the instructor you arrive at a session!

If you don’t want to purchase a membership but still want to a session on a PAYG basis, You can purchase a ticket for £2 on the LSESU What's On calendar.

Active LifeStyle Tournaments

Active LifeStyle Tournament is an exciting new offer to LSE for the 2017/18 academic year which offers weekly tournaments for all LSE students to compete against each other. During term time there will be a different sports tournament on various days of the week, these will be held at LSE campus and in central London. This allows you to play together and represent your Department, Hall of Residence, Society or just a group of friends!

     Active LifeStyle Sessions

       Active LifeStyle also runs additional session which dont come under Class Pass, these are as follows: 


In association with British Fencing, Active LifeStyle runs a two-hour fencing sessions. The training takes place every Wednesday, x&xxpm, in the Badminton Court, Old Building. All levels are welcome. Equipment is provided.

Free 5-a-Side football sessions takes place every Friday 6-8pm, starting on the 29th September 2017. Balls will be provided. If you want to help run the sessions please get in touch!

LED Sabre classes take place every Wednesday, 11:30am–1pm in the Badminton Court in the Old Building. The classes are open for all levels and no experience is required.
