Competition Law

The Competition Law Society is one of the newest and most active societies within the LSE. We were set up in January 2019, and only between March and September 2019, we held 7 talks and special events with leading competition law practitioners. One of the best thing about this society is the direct access you will get to leading experts, and the endless opportunities to increase your professional network. In addition to this, one of the highlights had been that a selected group of members of the society were received by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on a special meeting to discuss public policy and consumer welfare. Our Society reached more than 30 members at the end of the Lent Term in 2019, and with your help we expect (at least) to double that number during the academic calendar 2019/2020. In short, the society is ideal for anyone who is interested in a career in the legal or economics profession, and with interests on other fields such as intellectual property, public policy and regulation of new technologies. We have lots of plans for the new academic year, and our first talk will be at the end of October 2019 so if the above sounded interesting, don't think it twice and join us!
